Whilst in Milan, internet singing sensation Lana del Rey was spotted wearing Osman Yousefzada.  Perfect for the rising songstress’s combination of classic all american with a sultry twist, this London based designer has become an international success, noted for his use modern shapes and themes with a touch of classic elegance.  Photographed with fans and  editor at large, Anna dello Russo we love the way she works this  leather belted lace dress.  Check out Anna dello Russo’s backstage footage of her singing her hit “Video Games”.

Come backstage on our latest shoot with an essential selection of the brightest pieces from the Cruise 2012 collections.

Phoebe Philo is one of the most important, modern, womenswear designers.  Renowned for creating new silhouettes and aesthetics that can cause mass movements, the latest collection for Celine in many ways confirmed this again.   We spoke to Kanye West and style.com’s Nicole Phelps about the designer backstage at the Spring/Summer 2012 show.

One of the most hotly anticipated shows of the week also, predicatbly, had one of the most star filled front rows.  Liv Tyler, Naomi Campbell, Jared Leto, the Roitfelds & Rachel Zoe were just a few of the stars who watched Gisele take to the catwalk in skin tight tailoring, peplums and statement jewellery all with exotic skin details.  We went backstage after the show to talk to singer Ciara, Joan Smalls and Gisele about the show and what they love about the man behind it all, Riccardo Tisci.

Speaking to Nicola Formichetti backstage after his second Mugler show, the designer explained that this season wasn’t about looking into the Thierry Mugler archives but using his own memories of what the brand meant to him as a child he had played with new colours and shapes.  This might explain why this season’s tamer, sophisticated palette was a world away from the harsh blacks that we saw last season and more, “something my mother would wear” said Formichetti, making it almost seem tame and sophisticated.   However, although the silhouettes were more streamlined there were still lots of carefully placed cut outs to make the clothes stand out and appeal to his cult fans, many of whom rushed to congratulate him backstage after show, dressed head to toe in the last collection.

Eva Cavalli talked to us backstage about this season’s multi faceted Cavalli girl and explained a bit about the eye popping prints that came down the catwalk as well as the show stopping dresses with incredible sequin applique’.

Having explored glamping a couple of seasons ago, for Spring/Summer Dean & Dan decided to return to the wild outdoors, albeit quite a different type of scene.  The music festival Glastonbury was the duos point of inspiration for this collection that gave us a sparkling version of festival chic, with high heeled wellington boots and all! Sequined layers and ripped T-Shirts got the DSquared treatment as they were vamped up and given that tongue in cheek sexy edge that has made the label such a succes.

We spoke to the boys backstage about what they like about the festival that attracts not just hoards of music fans but also a wide range of chic celebs each year, and to the make up artist, Charlotte Tilbury, about how to get the look.

Backstage at the Pucci Spring/Summer 2012 show in Milan we spoke to models of the moment Arizona Muse and Nyasha Matonhodze about what they liked about the collection of flowing, gypsy skirts and short tops that were covered in ornate beading and crystals.
