We kept bumping into our Swedish blogger friend Elin Kling during Stockholm Fashion Week and time after time she dressed to impress – with success. As a result, we couldn’t help but ask for her best styling tips and sources of inspiration.
You have run your blog successfully for three years now; what do you think is the reason your readers return to it day after day ?
Partly because they have developed a relation to me, but also because they know that I deliver. On average, I do about three blog posts per day which is common on most Swedish blogs.
How would you describe your style ?
Curious, trendy and Swedish.

From where do you take your inspiration? Do you have a specific fashion icon ?
I can’t say I have a specific fashion icon. My biggest inspiration sources are mainly all of the trips I do but I certainly also get it from magazines, fashion books and movies, are not to forget.
Hit us with your top three styling tips !
1. Keep it simple ! It’s always fun and inspiring to play around with your style but on a night when you don’t know what to wear; take a few steps back, jump into a pair of leather pants with a looser waist, a crispy white tee and a jacket with the collar pulled up. Finish off with a pair of killer heels and it just doesn’t get any better.
2. Never pick something you’re not comfortable in. Regardless of how sassy it looks hanging in your wardrobe, if you’re not comfortable in it you’re not going to pull it off confidently, which is ultimately the key to turning any piece into couture.
3. Create a collection of personalized accessories. Make them your everyday accents and this will give you instant style, you can even combine them with trendy outfits to make them more interesting.
Who is your favorite designer ?
Maison Martin Margiela.
What are the trends you’re going to be channeling this fall ?
I am really excited about this fall and can’t wait to get comfy in my big, white coat from Acne, layer oversized knit wear on top of more body shaped dresses with ‘the new length’ and top it all off with a big brown hat!
What did you think about the Luisa Via Roma 10th anniversary celebration Firenze4EVER which you, and a mix of other famous bloggers, were all invited to ?
Oh, it was just amazing! Hopefully that was just the first one to be followed by many more!
What are your thoughts when you hear Luisa Via Roma ?
I like their good range of items and skilled buying team.

Last night at the Marc Jacobs show the buyers bumped into our blogger friends Bryan Boy and Denni Elias from The Chic Muse. Together they went to the after show party and then for a delicious dinner in Soho.
At the party they saw Marc, who was friendly and laid back, as well as the beautiful girls of the Marc Jacobs staff and Jay Alexander.
Bryan at Stockholm Fashion Week

Swedish famous singer Emilia DePoret interviewing Bryan Boy.
With Stockholm Fashion Week bubbling with big international fashion lovers, we have met many of our friends who gladly posed for us at Luisa Via Roma. Our good blogger friend from a long time back was one of the invited guest and as usual Bryan Boy is never hard to spot in a crowd. Rocking those signature shades, always in stylish outfit and with numerous of 4 inches and up-heels, we can’t help but wonder how much clothes he brings on his travels around the world.
Wanna know ?
Four suitcases for Stockholm!

The Toxic Toy T Shirt designed exclusively for our Firenze 4Ever Blog party is now available in limited numbers online for men and women. We all rocked ours throughout the party and love the cheeky “My blog is bigger than yours!” slogan with the “Taking over the front row” print along the back; a little reference to the rising power of bloggers in the fashion world. All our bloggers loved theirs and havent stopped blogging about them since…Bryan Boy sent us a special thanks and we cant wait to see the others in theirs too.

Without stepping on the toes of the other bloggerati out there, we have to say Bryan Boy may just be one of the most successful bloggers…ever. Taking a stance on fashion that is strikingly unique, endlessly entertaining and at the end of the day incredibly intelligent, has been a consistent pattern under Bryan’s continuous blogging.
It all began in October 2004, well before the other high fashion, computer literate kids had even caught on to the concept. Initially it started when Bryan went on holiday to Moscow for a month and a half. “I don’t want to have to send 200 emails when I’m on vacation. So maybe if I have a blog, people can go there and see what I’m up to.”
It was practical, simple and genius.
Now the self-created online empire is a full time job, with more than a few benefits. It’s seen him travel worldwide, sit front row, mingle with the elite, and even have handbags named in his honour. Which is a clear sign of the power of online social networking, blogging and the internet. All of which we at Luisa Via Roma are celebrating as part of our 10 year online birthday.
Taking to our Style Lab like a seasoned professional Bryan Boy was an absolute star, making the most of the Fall/Winter 2010 collection pieces.

Luisa Via Roma loves Bryan Boy!
For me its really about the selection here, I love the edge, they are always on top of everything great. All of the hottest labels, supporting young designers, but the main advantage is the selection. It’s very well edited.
