Spring/Summer 2009 for Dolce & Gabbana is all about sleek evening wear with these glossy brocades and sheer materials. The runway was inspired on a “Pigiama Barocco” (Baroque Pyjama) theme; men’s silk pyjamas tailored for women, large Minnie Mouse shoulders and lots of glitter. However, a second part of the show revealed a more sophisticated woman with flashy structured materials.
Next season Dolce & Gabbana’s collection will have more of a forties surrealist twist with a touch of Marylin Monroe glamour.
