Having received New Generation sponsorship for the 3rd year running last season; the swift rise of Hannah Marshall has not gone unnoticed by those with a keen eye for new talent.
Appearances in Dazed Digital and the blog of British style icon Erin O’Connor, who wore one of her creations to No.10 Downing Street, have drawn Marshall’s constructed and edgy designs into the limelight.
Her reinvention of the little black dress has given this classic modern staple a more sculptural twist for the new decade. Hannah describes her main inspirations as black, shoulder pads and eyebrows, which you can see she even incorporates into her own look.
The brail messages secretly hidden in each of her designs also give them that kind of attention to detail that are beloved in modern luxury and provide us with a personal touch that we just go crazy for!
“Imagine Carine Roitfeld seen through the lens of Helmut Newton and you’re somewhere closure to to Hannah Marshall‘s version of contemporary dressing”

One Size Fits All

V_magazine.jpg
We recently saw these eyecatching pics by Terry Richardson for V Magazine (issue #63): “The Size Issue,”. The shoot features top plus-size model Crystal Renn placed in contrast with new arrival – and more traditional model size – Jacquelyn Jablonski.
Not only was the raising of such a shyed away from issue done in a wonderfully bright and unique manner. We were also happy to see that both look absolutely fab in Proenza Schouler and Danielle Scutt for Spring/Summer 2010, making us a little less panicky about the arrival of the Spring/Summer collections so soon after all our indulgence over the festive season!

We Can’t Wait For…

Watching all the celebrities getting the chance to slip into their Spring/Summer 2010 buys is making us go green with envy. So far we’ve spotted Thadie Newton in new, colourful Matthew Williamson and Jacquetta Wheeler in the must have of the moment Erdem. As well as Kristen Stewart around the world at all the different the Twilight premier in a host of hot new designers such as Proenza Schouler who have produced one of the best, bold collections for the summer.

The selection for week 8 is…

We’re loving the DSquared glamping references with the sky high bright patent boots to the LA girl mood of the photo.
The masculine tailoring is juxtaposed well with the super feminine, chic image of the iconic Audrey Hepburn as Holy Gollightly in the classic film Breakfast at Tiffanys.
The tights are also very on trend for the coming season and definitely one that we will be seeing alot more of over the coming months.

And the selected look for week 7 is…

The buyers loved the super masculine tailoring of the wide lapeled over coat and how it contrasts with the sequined leggings.
The serpent style print is very now and the strong tailoring and disco glam trends are both cleverly combined in one great look..Ci piace!
We want to receive more and more entries!! C’mon!!

Roll up! Roll up!

Through the patterned legs and into the brand new cruise collections, inspiration ranging from Pirates to Mad Hatters, this season captures a thirst for escapism and adventure that will take you far far away from the icey darkness of winter and into a bold, bright new season!

Before the site temporarily crashed due to the many many people trying to catch a glimpse, we were having a great time watching Miss Moss in action.
It’s not everyday you get to see a fashion icon striking a pose and see their demeanour behind the camera whilst at work (she was smiling, laughing and waving that famous rock chic mane around). We also loved the sequined vest and the faux gorilla mane style coat, they’re both on our wish lists from the new collections which will be online in no time!

Completely in line with a hot new trend straight off the Balmain catwalk, the drummer boy jacket is one of the hottest items around now and looks set to stay for another season. It works in perfect contrast with the strappy cut out shoes, they are just like the Givenchy ones, or are they by Ann Demeulemeester? Let us know! The high waisted hareem pants are a bold finishing touch giving the outfit an individual twist and incorporating one of the following seasons trickier styles. We just want to know what bag could you possibly team with this chic ensemble?
The buyers would also like to give a special acknowledgement to…..

definitely this weeks most flamboyant look, bravo!
